Location
Villa Muggia was built by the Isler family in the second half of the Nineteenth century and it was the home to three families for almost 200 years. Each family contributed to the creation of the architectural heritage that still exists today. At the end of the Nineteenth century, the German entrepreneur George Von Siemens - owner of the notorious technology company – succeded the initial owners and kept the villa until 1930. The Siemens deeply loved nature and during their stay they added luxuriant floral species to the already existing collection of centuries-old plants that live in the secular park. In 1931 the residence was bought by the Muggias, a family of industrialists from Milan, who gave to the villa the name that still holds today. The Muggias were succeded by Ugo Toso, an industrialist man from Turin who considered the villa as the perfect retreat from the chaos of the city, where he could enjoy all the charm of Lake Maggiore.
The latest owners of the villa, the Tardito-Toso family, introduced new stylish elements of interior design bringing tradition and innovation together whilst preserving the villa’s original appearance. The family later on decided to designate the villa as a location for exclusive events and make it the perfect setting for unforgettable moments.
The splendor of the villa's interior spaces and the magnificence of the park that surrounds it are incomparably beautiful.
